Tips for a photo that gets accepted

  • Use a light or white background with even light on your face. Avoid shadows.
  • Look straight at the camera. No cap, no dark glasses. Spectacles only if you wear them daily.
  • The face should cover about 70–80% of the photo height.
  • Use a recent photo. NTA asks for photos taken in the current year.

Frequently asked questions

How do I reduce photo size to 20 KB to 50 KB?

Choose a preset with 20–50 KB (for example IBPS or SSC) and tap Resize & compress. The tool picks the best quality that stays under 50 KB, and never goes below 20 KB.

My photo is smaller than the minimum KB. What now?

The tool raises the quality first. If the file is still too small, it adds harmless padding data inside the JPG so it reaches the minimum size. The picture does not change.

What does 3.5 cm × 4.5 cm mean in pixels?

At 200 DPI it is about 276 × 354 pixels, and at 300 DPI about 413 × 531 pixels. Portals check the KB and the shape, so either works when no pixel size is given.

Can I use this on my phone?

Yes. The tool is built for mobile phones and works in Chrome, Samsung Internet and other browsers.

Is my photo uploaded anywhere?

No. The photo is resized inside your browser. Nothing is sent to any server.
